Can anyone tell us, work life balance, leadership style at highspot hyderabad. I got the offer after a few months and was thinking of joining there but in the interview process the interviewers showed their style of attitude and carelessness towards the candidate answers. Multiple times I requested them to listen to my answers completely. Anyway I got an offer but I need to really take the decision.

Overall WLB has been good so far but we do have a bunch of genius dir and senior management level folks who are making sure that every waking hour is tracked!

Starting in the current release we have been forced to give task wise estimates with 0.1 story points minimum, 4 maximum, where 1 story point is 1 hour. (Max a task can take is 4 hours - this isn’t bugs I’m talking feature work lol).

India level leadership is downright stupid, if I say “it’s like he has 2 brain cells and both are fighting for the 3rd position”, people will actually doubt which of the senior mgmt I’m talking about (since it does apply to so many of them!). They will make decisions without ever consulting the senior devs and then come back later to us when things go south.

So WLB is fine as long as you have no Life (good chance if others are working hard in your team you will get screwed easily). US leaders are actually a delight tbh, but India ones are just glorified People Managers from service based companies.

Oh also they are silent firing some folks in few teams and letting them go without any notice severance etc. basically you can walk in to office on Monday 9am and they will tell you to leave by 11 am by depositing your laptop, and you won’t get any notice period since you will want to have some relieving letter!

I've had a whoop for the past 8 months and since the last firmware update it simply doesn't actively synch and it's basically junk. Considering the whoop 4 is seriously backordered, what does everyone think of the Apple watch 7 coming out?
