Im not searching for a new job but an acquaintance reached out about a similar role at a similar energy company.Turns out 2 ppl threw my name in the hat. I looked into it and the position was posted 2 weeks ago.Their director wants to meet.I bet pay is one of the first things to be discussed so that no one’s time is wasted.Am I crazy for not wanting to entertain it for less than 20-25% base pay increase? Is it selfish to ask for more? I’m sure most salary conversations end in negotiation anyways?

No. The only time name is visible is when you request to join a private bowl. The join request goes to the bowl leader with your name. But after they accept you, then they can’t see name. (Except your title is unique, so people can know)
Reinforcing the answer of NO to this question. The only time that someone would see your name is if you choose to post as yourself, rather than your job title or employer name. They cannot mandate this data from Glassdoor, and they cannot pay to collect it. User anonymity is the core of our company.
Then how did this happen?

The answers are in your HR file.
No but they go in your permanent record. I have a double black x-ray Zulu Tango secret clearance so I can see names and also that you got detention in 8th grade for lollygagging in the halls.
