The black man turned him out! Put it on him and that is that 😂

People change and grow? It sounds like he probably did realize it was a dumb bias to have after he met his husband. Is there a reason you feel like you need to bring it back up?

No, he's pretty dark skinned actually...

What also gets to me is how he would either be just another lonely older single gay man or he'd be in a bad relationship by now if he hadn't gotten over his racism.
How many people are missing out on truly amazing relationships because they write off or just don't really see as romantic possibilities people of different races (but especially Black people)?
This man almost passed up the love of his life because he came in a Black body. Think about that...
People change too. For the better.

Not really sure where you're going with this, but I guess the man he married must have been exceptional.. or frankly "betraying the race"... To get married to your friend

You know I didn't think of that. He could be like they guy who married Milo Yannopulous though my friend was nowhere near as blatantly racist as Milo Yannopulous. He was kind of a gay white liberal racist...
Here I was being all optimistic that the guy had a change of heart, that his husband was so amazing that he put side his racism for him but who am I kidding?
People say a lot of things

TRUE THAT. Another guy I knew (straight) said when he was single that he wanted his future wife to have big boobs, be religious and want to have 5 kids. Now that he's married his wife has average sized boobs and they have only 1 kid after some 3-4 years of marriage. I don't get the feeling he's oh so religious and in fact he became slightly less religious over time.
But it's my estimation that ultimately straight men are more flexible than gay men. Straight men can often enough be heard dating things like, "All my life I was into blondes but then I fell in love with and married a brunette." Meanwhile gay men's tastes are apparently so specific that they have, good instance, dating apps just for men who like "bears" because apparently men who like bears aren't interested in any other kind of men.
OP why are you making such a big deal out of this. Every girl you see in online dating apps “only dates guys 6 feet or above.” Well guess what? It just so happens more than 10% of the population is married.

I see your point but I'd argue that race is a bigger deal to a lot of people than height...
Maybe it wasn’t a racial bias that your acquaintance had against black guys? Maybe he’d previously dated a black guy, had a painful breakup, and thought he only wanted to date people radically different in the future?
Pro
Why hold it against all Black people then? Nobody had a bad breakup with a white or Asian person and says "I'm never dating a white/Asian person again."
Also the gay community is known for people openly excluding whole racial groups from their dating pool on dating apps, so it's unlikely to be anything other than racism...

You could just repeat his words back to him when you're 1:1 and see how re reacts..
Is his boyfriend rich?

No, they appear to be at the same level socioeconomically...
