Yes
Forgive my ignorance. CT = Charles tyrwhitt?
Regardless of price I think fit makes a big difference. I have CT shirts and while they’re $40ish they fit me better than other off the rack shirts that cost more and less
Like others have said, fit matters a lot. Even with that, some cheap shirts look cheap from wear 1, others from wear 5. Higher quality shirts look good longer.
I buy Brooks Brothers during their semi-annual sale, where their standard dress shirts are $50. I feel that’s a good price for the quality.
I do a lot of Nordstrom rack ones for fit. $30. Fit well enough. The real difference would be if I got them darted.
Not to sound like an ass but $20 and $100 shirts aren’t going to be very different. It’s only when you get to the $200-$300 range when you start noticing the subtle differences such as Mother of Pearl buttons with a shank, hand sewn button holes, matching patterns on shoulders, etc.. for the record CT shirts are very decent when bought on sale 3/$99. For other days I’m a big fan of Borelli and Isaia. Feels amazing to wear them. Like a good fitting suit. You can pick them up in the outlets during a close out sale for under $100.
Neiman Marcus last call, saks off, etc.
Also try out Charles tyrwhitt . Usually under $50 and have the quality of most $100+ shirts
I like CT for the price but EVERYONE has them. Walking down an airplane aisle and I am always laughing when I see 3 folks wearing the same shirt I do haha
Similar to all ultra males with Patagonia on the street now a days
I didn’t notice when I was buying $20 shirts, but I started to notice when I was buying $100 shirts. Same goes for shoes and jackets in different price ranges actually. Also noticed when a loaded friend wore the most expensive (and absolutely the best and softest) cashmere I’ve seen.
Nice cashmere is amazing - cheap is itchy at times
I disagree. I buy from RL/BB and I would say BB quality is supreme and stands out. The CT shirts I bought were okayish.
Quality is much better and shirts are likely to last longer / look better if you buy quality. Not saying higher price always means better quality BTW.
$20 shirts? Where?
Marshalls during thanksgiving sale 🤷🏻♂️
CT has a 3 for $100 sale that comes back every so often. Stock up then
You do need to graduate to Lulu Lemon work man cloths
Does it count if I only buy the $80~ shirts when they are on sale for $20-30?
Same case for me when i buy on-sale stuff from marshalls/macys. Retail 🏷 is quite high, but buy it heavily discounted
CT Has really improved in the last year or so. Some of their older shirts have a stiff, almost polyester or fake feel. But I recently bought a half dozen of the newer ones and they are actually quite nice. The fabric is a little cheap, but the fit is good and they seem to be fairly well-made.
