If you're yet to join this company, please consider other alternatives. There are good for nothing people who are in the same company since inception and politics is in their blood as that is the only option of survival for such people. In such an environment there is no room for learning, innovation or growth.
Yes , they do have bus facility and you have every right to not join the evening calls.
I am also working in Siemens, I agree 100 percent what u said, and its really frustrating. thats why i have decided to switch now after working here for 2 years..
That judgement was quick 🙂. On the effort part , I have an IP in my name and won the DC award multiple times and I'm seen as a go to person during challenging situations in my BU. Also working and leading some next gen R&D topics. Now, when you are this capable and you see "many" undeserving people climb up the ladder , you will definitely have problems with the management and the company. What do you want me to change here?
When you learn new technologies but 90% of the company is still working on outdated technologies, where is the upskilling actually happening?
I'm in this company for more than 12 years now and I know it's time to move on. I'm just waiting for my retention bonus.
There are better companies which work on better technologies and are paid fairly. If you're so happy with the company, then it's you who's in your comfort zone and not me 🙂. May God bless you with reality very soon.
Man this guys must have some serious issues with the company 😅🤣
In a lighter note, scrum calls are mostly in morning as I have seen so far. But it's honesty company dependent
Bus is available
Note for the guy who's ranting
All companies have politics, siemens is a bit more laid back than others. If you wanna grow, you gotta put in the effort.
switch jobs if you hate it so much. If anything you are just adding to the politics.
I too face them on a regular basis, but my growth hasn't stagnated nor has my skill improvement or learning reduced. You're just comfortable and expect things to fall in place.
Rather than complain try to make an effort to change your situation in the company, else there is always plenty of FISH (company -pun intended) in the sea!
Oh noo,😅
I never said I'm comfortable I'm right where I'm supposed to be at my current stage of my career. The moment I stop seeing growth and I can't add more value to the organisation, that's the time I will switch.
As for outdated tech, no one great MNC is going to give you latest and greatest work all the time. I had to optimise my sustaining work so that I could work on experiments and new gen concepts
That's the part and parcel of any job in Indian with MNC's
