Hi, I am considering making an appointment with a therapist to discuss mental health, and my question is this: how do you know that your case is severe enough to warrant a therapist’s time? I’ve never been diagnosed with any mental health illnesses but I think it could be something that benefits me. A little advice would be appreciated. Thank you

It doesn't have to be severe to benefit from a therapist's time. I've helped people stick to a "productive" morning routine. I've helped people back off of suicidal ideation. I promise the therapist isn't gonna be like "this idiot came to me to help them choose between light and dark roast".

Everyone can benefit from therapy! What’s beautiful about it is you can start and stop when you want. I’ve gained so much from two different “rounds” of therapy through better help at different points in my life

Does your company offer an Employment Assistance Program (EAP)? Usually, you get between 4-6 free sessions.

I was two weeks late for my period and was going to take a pregnancy test this weekend. However this morning I felt cramps and had a little bleeding..... Anyone successfully take STD or extended long term disability for final IVF procedure? I’d like to take 6 months, Destress before hand then go into extraction. Tired of my pharmacy. Every single month I have to call the pharmacy for my Adderall, they say they don’t have any prescriptions for me, they ask for additional information, they magically find it, and then I have to wait like 1 to 8 hours to have it filled. Hello! I was offered a position at the middle of the posted salary range. I exceed every one of the requirements and all but one of the preferred qualifications. (I will have my Supervision designation in a few months.) Should I negotiate a higher salary now or when I obtain my new license? I’m currently looking for a therapist with a specific focus due to a traumatic event and am only finding counselors that do not work with insurance and charge average $ 150/hour.
