Baked goods or something like that is lovely.
If you are the only woman in the group, do not do baked goods. Otherwise, have at it.
Role reversal. I’m the only man.
A small token appreciation gifts like baked goods is fine, especially if it’s something you can target/share just within your practice group. Definitely do not feel any pressure to give something, though, and something like a gift card would feel inappropriate to give your superiors (perfectly fine for your support staff though).
I think they would appreciate that!
That’s a nice token of appreciation for people you enjoy working with. I don’t think it matters if they’re partners or associates if that’s your motivation.
I would say no. Then again, I’m Scrooge-like.
I always bought the male partners a decent bottle of bourbon.
I buy gifts for staff and associates but honestly hope they don’t get me anything in return. A tiny gesture like baked goods or a card would be much more appreciated personally. I wish someone gave me this advice as an associate, I used to buy partners wine or whiskey.
I only ever gifted up because you dress for the job you want and not the job. Let em know you’re coming for the top spot with some good Rolex knockoffs
Not a really bad idea — a great idea!
How do I opt out of this
I do this! Same position. Large office, but small group and I’m the only associate. I adore my partners. I even get their spouses a little something. I’m probably weird, but I want to express how dear they are to me!
As others have said, your idea is a good one, OP. Totally appropriate. Baked goods, or a bottle something decent.
