Is it common in the industry for licensed insurance agents to not get any commissions on a referral in which you personally write the policy? Ex: If a current client refers a prospect to our team, I would not receive commission. Additionally, if I write a policy for friends/family I would get a small incentive but it’s a fraction of the commission producers make.
Management is considering changing this going forward. However, I’m not sure how I should react if they keep things how they are now.

Hi guys, I joined as a fresher in july and still I didnt get any project. I am shadowing a senior on a project. Last month I had mailed my manager asking for project ,he said he will get back to me with a suitable opportunity. I am still waiting and on non billable code but I can't wait anymore. How do I politely follow up with my manager again asking him to allign me on some project? or should I directly ask him if there are projects or not. (Company -Deloitte)

They say that they provide real life scenarios for project deployment end to end system design. And this is must requirement in interview processess. The more I stay in consulting, the more I dislike the thought of ever working in a F500 cube farm (real or virtual) ever again. The more I dislike consulting politics or up-or-out, the more I understand politics is much worse within a "regular 9-5". The more I dislike random topic changes from project to project in consulting, the more I understand how nauseating it can be to be stuck in the same boring 9-5 for the rest of my career. I have 3 YOE as project coordinator and transitioned into a Project Manager role a little over a year ago.

I finally acted on my interest in Product Management and applied for a few positions within the healthcare industry. I have a few interviews next week and was curious as to what the average salary for this position is. What salary is reasonable to ask for? I don’t know how it compares to Project Management. I remember when I first started working on my thesis project. My adviser asked me to get some funding for it, but he didn't give me any advice about how to do that. He just told me that if I wanted money for my project, I'd have to go through some kind of committee process and submit an application for funding from them. Sure enough, after weeks of writing applications and waiting around for responses from the committee members (who were always too busy), I eventually got approved for funding!
