Need more details. Initial hesitation is: 1) whether work will be there; 2) if work is there, no way you bill just 1.5k; and 3) how much time will go into non-billable work.
Talk to associates there. If 1500 is the actual expectation then definitely yes lol
Also check what your comp will be in a couple of years. There are mid-AmLaw shops that have effectively 1600 hour billable requirements paying Cravath, fwiw.
Of course, whether you will actually be billing 1600 is a completely different story (I am at one of these and have billed 2200+ the past two years without even trying to get new work)
