I need NOC for Visa purpose for my vacation. I had raised a GSD and they say NOC cannot be given for travel purpose. Since it's a requirement for Visa, how can I get it from the company?

Found myself in a conversation with the branch manager (white male pushing thru his late 60's) about holiday decorations. I just told him how I've been directed by corporate to keep the winter holiday decorations as non denominational and he nearly exploded. Starts saying how Christmas is the "American Way" and "nobody is going to take MY Christmas" and "this is MY BRANCH, I will decorate for CHRISTMAS" and so much more. I'm just flabbergasted, frustrated but not surprised.

People say it’s critical to showcase your thinking to land a planning role, but for people changing focuses (moving from social to brand, seeking your first planning role, etc.) this often wouldn’t show in your actual work. Would supplementing real work with hypothetical briefs that doesn’t have outcomes or creative be frowned upon?

2.5 YOE, 6.2 LPA Mainframe, recently got an offer from TCS for Mainframe Developer position with 7.5Lpa. My project Director called me and willing to match the salary here in Cognizant. He said i will be eligible for yearly hike as well.

Please suggest if truly I will be eligible for yearly hike after being retained and is it good to stay overall.

P.S - TCS gave 7.5 on top of 5.1 LPA, 6.2 is what i got recently in April promotion for Associate.
