Hi Fishes, I have an interview with PwC AC in the coming week. My tech stack is Power BI, SQL, SSRS,SSIS and Tableau. YEO -4 Current CTC is 9 LPA. During the initial call with the recruiter he asked for ny expected CTC and I asked for 17 LPA. Can anyone from PwC comment on this? Say more? I know a lot of lower level folks who spend a lot of time on DEI… hatred seems strong and inaccurate word to generalize
I think there could be colleagues who think the firm is getting “too woke” but would be surprised if they disagree with the high-level goals… and leadership works pretty hard to clarify messaging for all new joiners.

i’m not comfortable sharing what I saw and heard but as a start - Please go to the McK bowl and look at some of the responses to internal issues / questions /concerns that people of color (and especially self identified Black people) have raised in that bowl. epic attacks and gaslighting.

If you mean other employees hating on DEI then that's common across companies. I'm in industry now somewhere that focuses on DEI and at happy hours after a few beers I've definitely heard some of the more conservative young guys hating on the ideas and saying we actually need more guys like them in higher roles (they are semi correct in that our office leans heavier on "minorities" but that's because it was started a few years ago mostly by people from our India office who were brought to start it and have stayed on here due to immigration so it makes sense that they've been here longest and make up more of the team leads)
I’ve had to take a lot of DEI training as it’s mandatory. I think it’s important to include people etc. BUT - I am truly getting tired of getting these lessons that my parents taught me when I was 7, forced down my throat to appease the stock holders.
