Consider this: Every AI interaction shapes its future responses. We're collectively "raising" these AIs through our daily interactions. What responsibility do we have to "raise" them right? Are we accidentally teaching them our biases and flaws? I guess this falls more to the AI companies out there but I'm sure our interactions feed into how an AI develops to some degree.

Need some feedback! So I was forced to move jobs about 6 months ago due to reorg and the new leader opting to bring their existing EA with them, without even meeting me. If stayed at the company but accepted an offer for a job outside of the department I was in. I’ve now been asked by a manager from my old department to apply for a job they’re opening that would be a 2 step promotion. She thought she got my managers permission to approach me (see comments)

Just wondering, is 130k for sc2 at EY FSO decent? I accepted offer and Im not sure if i should be happy. Im an international student from Indonesia too who has an MBA around 7 yoe (not consulting). When can I expect promotion to sc3 (and M) and what is the expected salary increase annually for both promotion and non promotion years?

Have an offer from a dream company but I'll need to go in at a lower level. Knowing that I can bring a lot of value to the company (read- I know my worth), I negotiated with the hiring manager to have a level/comp review 6 months after employment. If I hit all my goals (ie, prove myself) within that time frame, I'll get a promotion and salary adjustment.
QUESTIONS:
Should this be in writing in the offer letter?
How detailed should it be? I assume I won't know what goals to set till I start...

Bonus and comp raise %?

I've been a government attorney for nearly three years now and have worked in the same office/division since I passed the bar. I've yet to receive a promotion other than two cost of living increases (in sum, a pay increase of 6k over 3 years). I know this is meager, but I'm mostly ok with it, I just want to see some recognition. On the other hand, it's hard for me to imagine negotiating because (given my inexperience), I don't feel I'd be able to do better anywhere else. Any advice?

I am a ft interior designer, full time mom that also does part time photography on the side. I currently make 90K as a designer and bring in around 20K as a photographer/yr. I make what I need to make. I make $28.78 and I know others make $30-$31 within the company. What should I do?

Got a 30% salary bump, via an offer for Senior Consultant S&O from Deloitte. Currently underpaid at EY Advisory. I'm MBA and this year is my promotion year at EY for Manager. What to do? Get demoted and move to D? Or counter at EY? Even if EY matches my salary, and promote me to Manager, I will be an EY Manager with a Deloitte SC salary, and probably won't be able to go to D in the future. What do you think? I have built up a good relationship with my Partner and SMs at EY though.

Hello, I am in USI GES tax at DUSI. I love my job but not my team and mgmt anymore. I'm a performer and I'm dumped with work of 2 ppl while others are searching for work. I am burned out.

I resigned and accepted a job with EY GDS with a huge pay bump that DUSI can't match but I also gave up my potential promotion for 2023.

I've been feeling bad about putting my papers down and letting go off my promotion but I am really tired. I took up this job as an escape.

Senior engineer making 135k and I was offered a promotion to engineering manager after completing a development plan. Near the end of the plan and I expect compensation talks to start soon. Based on some research around Boston and my role in the company, I feel 165k plus 10-15% bonus is fair. Nonetheless, first time going through something like this and asking for thoughts and comments. I am a technical recruiter with three years of experience. I am currently interviewing at a series B tech start up located in CA for a fully remote position. I am currently in Texas and don’t have to pay state income taxes. I am making about 90 K and would love to bump up my salary from there. My question is, what is a fair salary to ask for that will factor in both the new income tax and a raise? My other question is what is a fair salary in general for somebody with three years experience?

I initially thought TC was 199k, but it’s actually 180k. Should I say something like “I was expecting 220. Is there anything you can do like a sign on bonus/raise base a bit to help get to 220?” To see if they can bump it up a bit?

I just don’t want to negotiate and get the offer rescinded.

When I negotiated my comp, all my discussions were around me being a junior and I only accepted my comp for that reason (would not have accepted if I was step above junior since it was low). Negotiations happened with HR, but my offer letter and documents never mention junior (but I have proof from HR saying I am a junior).
