Take the job! Every in-house role I’ve applied to/interviewed at lately is only interested in candidates who already work in-house at a competitor. It’s incredibly frustrating. Take the win!
If that is the case I suppose it might be good to take this then and use it as an opportunity to get in-house.
Everything sounds great aside from the commute. But even that seems like it's just going to be a temporary issue. I would take it, even if it's nowhere close to dream job status. $50k + a bonus would be impossible for me to pass up.
There are a few reasons I wouldn't mind staying in my current role other than avoiding the commute. I'm not one to be entirely money motivated, but it would certainly be significantly lifestyle changing.
Is this really a question? I can’t tell what you are hung up on—are you looking for an immediate easy commute, remote job or your dream job?
What are the benefits of staying where you are?
Got it-yea, it sounds great.
The cool opps right now at an agency are so often temporary. Plus, it’s so hard to transition to in-house. This stepping stone opens up more possibilities for you.
I’d just make sure the company isn’t one that is known to use mass layoffs regularly as a budget balancing option (as to make sure you aren’t likely to get laid off once you make the move)
Get out. An hour commute is what life used to be. It's not that bad.
