Had a great job interview. C-suite liked you & your ideas & seemed like they would offer. A day later, they change the job posting to show less experience is needed & took off $125k salary. Thoughts?

Hi everyone, have a final informal interview in a couple weeks with someone I’d be working with routinely. Was told that it’s the final step but have also read on here that there’s a hiring committee interview. Is this for everyone, or should I expect to be done after this upcoming one?

My interview got over on June 29th right after the interview the recruiter called me and told I’m selected and they will be sending the offer letter. He mentioned there will be a delay in releasing the offer letter since merging is happening right now. few days back I sent a mail to HR.. but no reply. and after that I received a mail stating they are no longer considering me for this position. Does this happen to anyone else ?

On my CV I have a section listed as “Education” and under it I have “Business Studies” with the university name and the 3 years that I attended the course (2.5 to be exact). I applied at Workday on 15th May and went through 7 technical rounds of interview and received a verbal offer letter of 21LPA (hybrid)
Now apparently their technical panel "forgot" about the interview and wants to have a discussion again as 8th technical interview. HR says their joining date will be 19th September.
