If I get laid off, I have a previous colleague that started a cybersecurity company. I would love to get involved on the business side of it. Any pointers on skills that are attractive in this realm for a startup? Would be mostly (if not all) federal defense contracting clients. I’m currently in Deloitte’s cyber risk practice but my background and passion is in accounting and finance, and business operations. Graduated in 2017 so still early career.

Received an offer for equity research and IB, both in toronto. ER paying $120k base and my understanding is that bonus can be around 25-30%. IB is paying $105k base but likely higher bonus? Which one would u choose if you think you would be good at both

Within my first year of Consulting, really struggling with the hours amongst other things. Spoken to a couple of people internally and the advice is to get on to projects with bigger budgets and therefore bigger teams/more support. I think it’s insane how quickly people forgot what a normal car price is. I’m looking at reviews for poorly equipped vehicles selling for $40k and people are calling them values. Like on what planet? Plastic steering wheel, manual climate controls, cloth seats, 4cyl engine, etc etc and $40k is “value”. How can I be mad at OEMs and dealers when there are idiots buying these things?

Porsche introduced the Macan T. Essentially a base engine Macan with a lot of the GTS appearance/suspension/features standard. With a few important upgrades it’s $70k flat. Thoughts on this vs a Macan S built to similiar specs costing $85-90?
