This is just a cost saving measure to remove middle management. When this company sinks lower, they will revert back.
As an outsider, seems like a company selling Round Up, seeds, cancer medicine, and Alka-Seltzer under the same company could be an issue. Would have thought they would spin off at least one business line to try and improve focus in Pharma
If feel like “too many cooks, spoil the milk” situation.
I like it
But need to execute and really give people the empowerment and grant of authority to make decisions. Otherwise it likely won’t work because everyone will sit at the table looking at someone else to make a decision.
& even when there is that one bold team member who is willing to make a decision, people still dont want to follow it

Agree with it in principe (less layers, more distributed control, etc) but also read they are aiming for 15:1 Employee to Manager ratio and that is nutz
Smh - 15:1 employee to manager ratio also impedes business results because one manager cannot develop and grow 15 people unless the appropriate group training and leadership sessions are implemented
It’s just cost cutting. 15:1 ratio is crazy. 6-8:1 is the proven optimal for management reporting
