I am in a similar situation but moving from East coast to Bay area. Mine is more like a lateral move but with comp $160k TC —> $270k
Yeah take it and run.. you can work out some deal if you’re renting. My buddy moving there in a few weeks, was able to get 3 months rent free
So the offer is like $210K for meeting expectations + 20K stock annually in the first 4 years. I think that’s still a decent offer for SF. Try to negotiate the sign on bonus + relo
The rest depends on whether this is the path you’d enjoy/want to go, and how many hours will you most likely work in the new role. Def seem like a much more exciting offer compared to your current situation.
Slight correction - 80k/year vesting over 4 years means 1st year I get 20k, next year I get 40k, then 60k, then 80k every subsequent year as long as I stay
