Hi fellow fishies!
Can someone please explain what is “SUPPLEMENTARY allowance” in my payslip??? It is the highest in my entire payslip, more than basic salary. Basic is lets say ₹7 lac annually and supplementary bonus is ₹7 lac 40 thousand.
Can someone please explain why this exists in my paylslip, is it good or bad from tax perspective and shall I ask my HR to decrease it???
Please help asap.

150k points is the best offer I’ve ever heard of for the Plat. If it is for the Schwab version, I’d get that in a heartbeat. Schwab version lets you cash out points for 1.25cpp to a Schwab brokerage account (which is free). $1875 signup bonus.
Its not the Schwab version. Just a direct mailer from Amex.
Been wondering the same. Concluded that I could have csr for a year to maximize the points I have on csp and then switch to Amex plat. Amex has better rewards and is worth more than csr i feel
I agree with D1 after having the reserve for 4.5 years now, with the boost in annual fee but only temporary one year benefit boost (Lyft pink) the value isn’t as clear cut as getting the preferred or Amex platinum. Even with the higher fee, amex boosted benefits to counter that and make it better in my eyes.
Burned all my points on Chase. Should I start afresh on Amex? Not anticipating a whole lot of travel this year.
I’d go with the Amex Gold if you’re not planning to travel as much.
