The interviewer refused to say his name nor he appeared on video in the interview. Is that the company policy? Tech Mahindra

How much and what city?
I’m definitely on a similar boat. I have been looking into side hustle ideas (if anyone has ideas lmk). I feel like that’s unfortunately necessary which is extremely sad imo. Theoretically, I make a good amount but rent is insane and the cost of living itself makes the overall experience difficult!
Apart from looking into exit opportunities into industry (hopefully this Visa opp bites), I buy and sell vintage clothes and furniture, def reccomend
It gets better as you go. The workload may be the same but your pay will go up extremely with experience. 5-7 years in you have a potential to get above 200k, you just have to wait it out.
I only consider remote positions. Being in the office once on a while is ok to build strong relationships but that is it. Work can be done in a 100% remote setting.
Probably not the anecdote you were looking for, but I jumped to a remote role, moved from NY back to my LCOL outside of a HCOL and have better wlb, higher salary, and the comforts of having disposable income.
Either way, it’ll work out. This is likely the lowest you’ll make in your career so you could stick it out and jump later to make a higher salary🤷🏽♂️
I made very little money when I initially started because I had a hard time finding a job in the middle of Covid. I stuck it out and saw basically no different the first year. I’m now 2.5 years in and make 3 times what I made at first and did switch jobs in the middle to help make that jump. I agree to some extent with sticking it out and ensuring you can quantify what difference you can make for an employer.
