What will be the in-hand for this offer?

Hi Fishes, I am bit confused to pick the role in KPMG lighthouse as Sr Cloud Data architect or Saama technology as a Project lead. Money wise it is not a big difference. In KPMG I will work with partner where as in saama I will work with project/program manager. Please suggest your opinion. Saama KPMG KPMG India

Depends on the thickness and surface area of the diamond, it may look a different size depending on that. But I think 2.5 is a good size. Even 3 sometimes doesn’t look too big on larger hands. 2.5 would look good on 7-8 IMO
Very helpful! Thank you

2.5 imo is a great size for that finger size. ovals are really versatile because you can get one that’s a bit more elongated or one that’s a bit wider so you can really custom pick it for the look you want. talk to your jeweler about options and different diamond ratios they should be super helpful! just make sure you’re going to a real jeweler over like zales/jared/kay etc. they’ll have the most knowledge and help you maximize your look for the best price

absolutely! i think 2 would be beautiful as well but i feel like 2.5 is a perfect mid size before some people feel it’s looking too large and where you start to get the wow factor of a “larger” stone. great ratio as well, you get a little bit of width still that you’d get with a round diamond but still get the elongated feel as well which will help it not feel as large on her finger. congrats on your upcoming engagement the amount of thought you’re putting in alone tells me what you pick will be perfect
I have a 3.08 radiant cut on a platinum band and I absolutely love it! He went above and beyond and I’m so glad he did. It’s the perfect size for my hand. I don’t need an upgrade ring anytime soon. I would be happy with this ring for the next 20-25 years. I would suggest going up to 2.5. They will not mind. G’luck and congrats!! 🎉🍾
Not at all. Size 8, although it’s about a 1/4 size bigger than my actual ring size but I don’t mind. My hands swell sometimes in the summer so it’s been great for those days (he thought of everything!) It never feels like it’ll fall off on the other days of the year but it’s a little looser. Plus I plan on having at least one child so I’m hoping I’ll still be able to wear it then. I don’t feel uncomfortable wearing it at all. It’s a statement piece and convo starter among my professional peers at events and I love that about my ring. I’m so proud of him, my ring and I can’t wait to marry him. I definitely wear it on elegant occasions too. I drive everywhere with it and I’m never in a place where I feel uncomfortable wearing it. Do you live in a city where she’ll take public transit?

Go big! I’ve never heard anyone say they would prefer a smaller diamond 😉
I have an oval solitaire on a thin 18k gold band. Mine is 2 carat but my finger is size 4.5. I think for a larger hand, 2.5 carats would be great! Photo for reference.
Got my partner 3ct oval on a thin pave band. It doesnt look gaudy but she does get compliments for it being “a rock” so I think 2.5 is a good size. If I could do it again I think I’d still stick with 3ct but 2.5 wouldnt have been a huge step down. Best of luck, enjoy the whole process cuz it goes fast. Embrace the nerves before you pop the question!
Thank you! I’m looking to do the same with the thin pave band. What size ring is your partner (if you don’t mind me asking)?
Your partner has seven to eight hands? 🤚🏼🤚🏼🤚🏼🤚🏼🤚🏼🤚🏼🤚🏼
size 7-8*
I’m a size 6 and have 2.5 and love!
I have 2.2ct and similar hands, although the shape is cushion cut. I absolutely love it.
I may be the minority here but I think 2ish is perfect, I don’t think I’d go above 2.5 but it depends on the person. We live in NYC where average Ct size is higher than average, but we travel internationally and I’m on the subway often - so I get a bit self conscious about safety when wearing it. Also it sticks out “tall” a bit and can get caught on things. If you’re between setting options, consider not picking a “tall” one.
Don’t get me wrong, love my 2.2, but I’m glad it isn’t much bigger than that!
I haven’t heard any of my girlfriends complain about their ring being too big, fwiw!
