Dealing with a minor property issue and I’m hoping to chat with a property lawyer in my state about it just to get some advice. I’m thinking I’ll just offer to pay for an hour or something. Does that sound fair? I don’t want them to offer a free consult expecting business when I’ll probably handle myself

As a lawyer, I’d use GPT as a starting point to orient myself on the dispute. Should give you an idea of whether its actually minor. If it’s truly minor you can handle yourself, but if you’ve underscoped it (that’s where my money is) you’ll know you need to hire someone to handle it.

What is a good interview answer for leaving a job after a few months when the real reason is that you’re sleeping with one eye open in hopes of not being on the chopping block after two rounds of massive layoffs? Company culture is at an all-time low, and it will only go down from here from what I’ve seen in the short months I’ve been there.

Great question! And without getting too much into monetary policy.... Fed rates are set by the Federal Reserve which banks use to charge each other to borrow money. A lot of times these rates move together, however, a Fed rate increase does not instantaneously change the rates the bank offers.
