Dear fellow bankers: What would you do if your employer suddenly requires you to work six days per week instead of five for the same 40 hours (Working about 6.5 hours per day, six days per week) Cutting your days off from two full days to just one day off per week (Sunday only) - How would you feel??

S1 audit at a midsize firm looking out of public accounting.. my biggest thing right now is having a better work life balance. I hate the busy season hours and just looking for a way out.
I’ve been looking into internal audit but i know that could be boring.. not sure what other fields would suit someone of my experience.

What are some high paying career paths that an auditor can pursue? Slaved for 3 years and not even 4k, while every single one of my peers in IT are at minimum 5k with good wlb...... accountants dont seem to get paid remotely well here

Thermo Fisher for Data Engineer in AWS and Python and Ameriprise as Lead Developer for Informatica Powercenter. Ameriprise is offering 50k more in my monthly salary than Thermo Fisher. My preference is to join in where I can grow and get a good learning for future career growth. Also, work life balance should be good in the organization.

Obviously many of us get paid very well and there is an expectation with work demands for being paid that high. But what’s too much? How do you set a limit to preserve your mental health? I find myself guilty for taking time to decompress but I know I come back to work refocused after I do it.
