Additional Posts in Salary Negotiations
Im not searching for a new job but an acquaintance reached out about a similar role at a similar energy company.Turns out 2 ppl threw my name in the hat. I looked into it and the position was posted 2 weeks ago.Their director wants to meet.I bet pay is one of the first things to be discussed so that no one’s time is wasted.Am I crazy for not wanting to entertain it for less than 20-25% base pay increase? Is it selfish to ask for more? I’m sure most salary conversations end in negotiation anyways?

SF is a great town@ do it for 2 years then bounce to SoCal
I agree
The woman on the news sued the place she work for on the news for the money she was issued her payoff was probably double that but if you have to ask for a raise you shouldn't be working there but God bless let's continue 🙏 to do right and good should follow
I have friends who work in Tech in the Seattle area. Tech people do the round-robin over a year to get better money. AMZN-GOGL-META-MSFT.
From what I hear, AMZN will hire you for one role, and switch it without you having a say. People have been re-assigned to projects they didn't have skills or experience for, or enthusiasm for (like I'd be excited to work at imdb, but not Kindle).
So I'd skip AMZN.
Is Amazon that stable?
#1 sounds good. With Amazon, there is a good chance you will be miserable
LA will be slightly cheaper COL than SF, keep that in mind, and I mean slight.
first one
Neither is particularly attractive, forcing you to live in Cali, but then at least it isn't NJ.
#1 bc wlb seems better
