Hello, what is working in retail banking like at JPMorgan Chase ? Specially the branch manager role. I’m looking in the Columbus area. How is pay, culture, benefits, sales environment, meetings, etc. How easy is it to transition from retail banking to corporate. I hear the Polaris campus has great opportunities, I was thinking about getting my foot in the door through retail then transferring to corporate ?

Memorize your industry’s methodologies and just spout out key words. They score you on the number of key words you get

Specific to GPS Strategy - They are scored against a rubric. Honestly it’s a lot of work on the interviewers part to look for everything they want us to hone in on via the case rubric so we usually just look for culture fit / if you provided logical answers that are well structured. After the interview we score the candidate and make a hire and level recommendation. Most people approach these wanting to hire the candidate and don’t look for reasons to ding them or anything like that unless it’s truly warranted or not a fit. Because there’s so many interviews scheduled, Ms and up get pulled into what they call “interview calendar blocks” and a lot of times aren’t giving much time if any to prep for the interview so don’t be frazzled if your interviewer also seems frazzled😊😉

What level? I interviewed at SC level 4 years ago and it was so uneventful I have very little recollection about it. I had maybe done 3-4 mock cases before that. If you have prepared for it, or have any prior relevant experience, you'll be fine. All the best.
I was given 30 mins to structure my answer and created a deck. In retrospect, it wasn't that difficult, but I wish I had prepared some commonly used powerpoint templates so I would not have to spent most of the allocated times worrying about slides design. The case was specific to my industry (Government and Public Sector) and was done via a zoom call. I had made a fatal mistake in calculation (confusing trillion with million in my haste to finish the deck) but it seemed that the director did not really mind the error. She was more interested in probing my alternative recommendations. Well, I wasn't sure what she was thinking but I got the offer so, yeah.
C1 - forgot to add: yes, I was allowed to use any resources available.
If its exp. Hire then don't worry too much - its not weed em out campus style where they have dozens of kids providing answers to the same case to compare & rank.
Mine was specific to the industry and service line I applied to and all I had to do was speak intelligently on the topic and structure the hypothetical engagement
Don't forget to ask questions. Sometimes they will have answers that give more information, as long as you ask the right question.
What service line?
