I came to Chicago from the PNW for college, landed an internship then a job. Don’t necessarily intend to settle down here but it’s been almost 20 years and I’m still here.
Sorry that was meant to say didn’t lol
Detroit. Grew up there. ACD CW on 2 of the Big 3. Got laid off and saw this as an opportunity to get away. I applied to agencies all over the US, Toronto and Nova Scotia. Chicago is as far as I got😀
From the Chicago burbs but gut my first job in SF, then moved to LA, now back in Chicago but working for agencies mostly in CA
Actually, I started my career in a small town in the middle of Illinois. I went to college at southern Illinois University in Edwardsville, and when I graduated I got my first few jobs around that area. I decided I was tired of the small town life and made a move to Chicago to see how I liked being in a larger city. I love it but I’m not too far from home.
LA. Wanted to work on bigger accounts and more bluechip clients. Moved here after getting a job at Leo.
I’m from the NW suburbs of Chicago. I came back home after college and got my first agency job in the city about 18 months later.
Started in Chicago at HAVAS, left the agency after five months (LOL), but stayed in the city! Came here to escape my midwestern small town and fell in love with the city. Can’t imagine myself anywhere else
I grew up in Minneapolis and assumed id work in that small agency pond. But came to chi on a whim and never looked back. Its been a good run.
I started in LA. I relocated to Chicago for a relationship. It was the best decision of my life.
Moved from KY in hopes to find experience with a lot of big city agencies, only to get here and a lot of those agencies have been laying off like crazy, I see tons of bad shit about them on here, etc etc. still here! But it’s not what I expected.
I started my career in Vegas in 2018. For years after that, I worked full time in Denver but continued freelancing in LV. I recently moved to Chicago because I missed being in a faster paced media market.
Still working remote at my Denver company and looking for a new position based in Chicago!
