PwC 🐠, I interviewed with the firm about 6 months ago for a Senior Associate position on the forensics team. I wasn’t extended an offer because the position was given to an internal transfer, at least what I was told. I tried reaching out to the recruiter I worked with last time but the email bounced back and wouldn’t be delivered. I was hoping to see / reapply if the group still was looking for seniors.
In your opinion, would it be best to reapply as a cold application?

I have been reading a few articles talking about how FAANG isn’t as lavish as it used to be. My first question is if that is true? If it is true, my second question is what companies out there have the pay, benefits, and perks like FAANG? My last question is if it is as difficult to get into those companies? Hello, I have an offer from Publicis Sapient for their product management internship program. Wondering if anyone has any insight into the program (exits, etc) and how the return offer looks like in terms of salary. I still also hold an interest in data science so might go with another offer but I’m not sure if it is a wise choice to let go of a PM offer while I have it.

Easily the finance role
Would you mind elaborating, McKinsey? I'm familiar with how public accounting promotions are structured but unsure of how it would look at Amazon. I see that a lot of B4 exit opportunities include these sort of finance positions and want to make sure I'm developing my career at a pace similar to if not faster than B4, if I do go with Amazon. Hope that makes sense, thanks.
Most roles in industry don’t have the single progression path that there is in professional services (x years between promotions, clear next promotion, etc.). So you won’t be able to make your 15 year plan to partner and know how much you’ll be paid each step of the way.
But a role like ops finance is much more flexible and has much more upside than B4 audit. Sitting between the business and finance means you can go into the business or FP&A (the type of role many public accountants try to exit to), depending on interest. You’ll also have a more impactful resume for job hopping or business school. And you’ll likely find the role itself to be more interesting.
The ops finance role is a 2-year program with at least 4 different rotations, and so I'm not entirely sure myself of what my function would be. Thanks a lot for your insight, that's a lot of valuable information for me to consider.
Oh that’s even better. Broadens your learning/experience even more and sets you up well for promotional roles afterward.
Thanks for your help, McKinsey. This may be a silly question, but I turned down an offer to work at a large aerospace company, intending to go for B4 Audit. If the question was between finance at an aerospace company vs B4 Audit, what would your answer have been?

Likely finance (dependent on specifics). But don’t dwell on the past
