Biggest difference is level of content knowledge and expertise. Coming in at Associate you would be expected to have a clear direction and area of knowledge. With 3 years you would likely be placed at the SC level as they often downplay outside experience.
Trajectory should still be the same for at least that next year. I would see that year really be a chance just to learn the 'OW Way'. Also FYI, the Digital presence is still largely in it's infancy. If you can position Tech experience, that should give you a leg up given the recent priority set by leadership.
How does one apply?
Thanks A1, what's the time frame to make associate from SC? 1-3?
OW sells themselves to undergrads as the place for accelerated career progression (grad to partner in 7 years is possible if you are ridiculous and FS focused). If you are performing, you should make it to Associate in one year. A sizable chunk of new hires will get to SC in 1.5 and then Associate one year later.
Thanks A1, I'm looking to get into the retail and TMT practice, not FS.
