I know you’re being sarcastic but damn dude. Yeah maybe it’s a little bizarre but I’d much rather have someone like that who’s trying to make an impression than someone who dresses like a slob on Saturdays or during the week. Don’t get me wrong I wear sweats on Saturdays but who gives a shit if they’re wearing nice clothes? Y’all are so critical and would prob still complain if they dressed too casually too
*You have a new hire who makes you look like a slob on Saturdays (and you openly resent them for it)
Some ppl like to keep it classy
I dress up if I go to the office on Saturday, because I go to Church after work in the evening.
OP - You're the union guy who files a grievance against that one guy in the shop who is too productive.
Such a seasoned vet, OP!
The one and only “perk” to working the weekends is being able to wear sweats. I hardly think that makes me look like a “slob,” and the comparison to someone wearing dress clothes is inapplicable because there’s no dress code on the weekends. Someone wearing jeans and an untucked wrinkled shirt on a Monday looks like a slob compared to someone dressed professionally, but no one should view anyone in sweats on a Saturday as a “slob.” Use common sense.
You know we can wear jeans every friday, I'm a zombie in the mornings and I always forget until I get to the office. Everyone thinks I'm weird too but I honestly think dress pants are more comfortable then jeans.
Weirdo or standing out? You remembered him/her. Sounds smart in sea of drones
Maybe they go to church before or after. I'm a Seventh Day Adventist and I used to do this since we worship on Saturday. Happy Sabbath to fellow Adventists on here. 😊
I spent all my available money on my dress clothes when I started at a big 4 and a lot of them were second hand. My play clothes were rags. Like used gap from a resale store. I was spending all my available money in school on tutors, recruiting etc. so give the kid a break. He is motivated and doesn’t want to make a misstep. And there isn’t always the best communication around what is appropriate on the weekend. When I was onboarding people for a project that was 7 days a week, I would use the term country club casual. Hope that helps.
Public accounting veterans are glorified retards!
Hi I do that too. That’s not being weird that partner track material. #worryaboutyourself
And you are a freaking Noob to care
i don't actually care if someone wears dress clothes, but if you are the ONLY person in the ENTIRE office that does it, it's just a bit bizarre but you do you homie
Maybe he was excluded on the group text where you all shared your attire for the day.
Give it a month
PwC2 - I was with you until you dropped the common sense line.
Not a weirdo if he did not know that we come in casual on Saturday!
Have you considered maybe they have a social life and actually go out after work? I’m often doing the opposite of “casual Friday’s”, because that’s the evening to go out afterwards!
