Sunday night travel means.....
Hey! Any Google folks know if it’s possible to negotiate fully remote if a contract role is hybrid? Personally, I don’t want to relocate and go to the office on a contract role given the current economy. Plus, I’m assuming contractors are the first to go in layoffs. I just think it’s a fair trade off if I’d be allowed to work fully remote. I’m also trying to have flexibility to manage my Airbnb business in a different country. Same time zone as the home office if I’d travel weeks at a time.
Any travel opportunities at Tredence?

Everyone just flies whatever their local airport is a hub for
Delta because it’s a lot better than the other two. Anyone who says otherwise is either hub captive or trying to justify poor life decisions.
This. At various points in the last decade I've had status with different airlines. Delta pretty much is the standard bearer.
United but I wish i was in a delta hub
Chicago rise up
Can’t remember the last time I flew American and the flight wasn’t delayed.
I fly Delta because it is the best airline in the history of mankind
Their new planes are very nice, and their old planes are generally nicer than new UA and AA planes (with the exceptions of the pre-refurb 763 fleet). Having somewhat lower cabin density helps, as does having more seats in F/J. Probably the most significant is that DL puts more resources into maintenance, so even the old birds are reliable.
I fly all 3 and haven't had any truly terrible experiences other than the normal frustrations (mostly delays).
Delta, by far, gets me there on time more frequently.
United tends to struggle more with on time arrivals, but they're usually short delays (30 minutes or less).
American tends to have less delays than United, but the delays are longer.
In general, I don't have any issues with the companies, the flight staff, the process, other than the delays mentioned.
The problem is the customers. There's almost always a few truly terrible, idiotic, or ignorant people on every plane who lack common sense or courtesy. And in a small space, you only need 1 or 2 idiots to ruin the entire flight for everyone.
My personal experiences only.
I fly American because my home airport is an American hub
🤢
I flew American until United had a status promo that was easy to hit.
American was taking too long to get status on.
American is always great to me. Nice planes, good travel times usually direct flights.

My home airport isn’t a hub anymore, and most nonstop are on LCCs. Since I have to transfer, I fly Delta because it’s easier to connect via ATL, DTW, MSP, and SLC than the eastern seaboard, Chicago, and Texas. Also, I get upgraded domestically a lot.
Rising Star
I flew AA in a United hub city until I got groped on a flight and they did literally nothing about it and then they often canceled the 530am flight I liked so I said forget this clown show and have been UA ever since and I love them. Was super hard to ever get status up to par but service has been way better and flight schedules too.
