I was gifted with 4 new desktop computers for my classroom! I teach 3rd and 4th grade learning support! Any suggestions for free and/or inexpensive academic websites?

I’m thinking about moving up to a high school English position from 8th grade English. Mainly I’m looking for a change. Any thoughts on the differences I’d be facing?

I have high school children of my own, but disciplining high schoolers has always intimidated me for some reason. I have excellent classroom management, but I feel like high schoolers are a little smarter ab getting around rules and less worried about consequences.

I’m told by an hs tchr that the grading load is ab the same.

Hello! I am in need of a job that makes at least $70k and is virtual in the DC area. I am adaptable, organized and a leader. I have experience in the classroom, as a manager, and as a sales and outreach coordinator. I attended both Virginia Tech and George Mason. Split classes take away joy! We have 6-7 classes at each grade level and they split 1-2 into the remaining 5 so we can have a 5 day schedule. Big classes plus the classroom culture homeroom teachers work so hard to achieve are ruined. Advice? (Plus we are told to "not be negative" by admin.)

I teach 4th grade at a Christian school. I have been teaching for over 30 years but I have been at this school for 2 years. Since I have been working at this school it seems like everything I do in my classroom it's something wrong with it according to my supervisor. Recently, I was told that I am not getting a new contract for the new school year. I have to find a new school. I was told that I am not a good fit for the school.

I'm transitioning from teaching 8th grade mathematics at a public school to teaching a 7/8 self-contained classroom at a charter school.
Any advice for teaching mixed grade levels or multi subject is appreciated: scheduling, classroom setup, subject order, behavior management, etc. I'm struggling to find my rhythm with only 6 weeks before kids return.

I'm done getting paid 1/3 of the class teacher pay and expected to teach the lessons. The other Paras in the class seem to think this is normal. I certainly don't get the same respect as the teacher. Am I alone here?
