Do any of y'all grow sprouts to eat them regularly? I would like to start but after going on Amazon it seems like there is so many necessary tools. In your experience what are the basics necessities.

I have considered doing the same, but I'm also afraid I would gather all of the tools and then feel too overwhelmed to do it. I would love to learn the simplest way to go about it 😂

Same here haha

I grow mine in a tray with stones and perlite. Helps reduce fungus gnats and I can just pull them straight out when I'm ready to harvest

Love the marbles idea 💡 seems very cool

Yeah, I actually bought a whole starter kit from one of the vendors at the local farmer's market. It came with all of the instructions and tools needed to grow them easily, so it wasn't that overwhelming.

like

This sounds ideal do you remember what was in your kit? Thank you

A plastic mesh sprouting lid for mason jars (like $5) is all the equipment you need to get started. (You can also improvise but it's such a cheap/small piece of equipment I wouldn't bother.) Just add water and seeds.

Fundamentally you just need to keep the seeds clean and moist but not wet, and with adequate airflow. Otherwise they can rot. You can sprout in a cheap Tupperware container as long as you meet those requirements one way or another, it'll just be more work.

Wow didn't even know you could do that and it's pretty cheap! I already have a bunch of mason jars in my kitchen lol

As a side note, I have been completely overwhelmed by how difficult it seemed to get started growing anything! But in reality, most things aren’t actually that complicated and you don’t need a ton of stuff. Obviously there are exceptions, but a lot of things just need the bare basics and they will grow!

Love this! Yeah growing does tend to seem overwhelming. But this is motivating

I love my job and have been doing it for years. My Principal is good to me as well! The problem is...the Paraprofessionals at my school are never recognized. You have Teachers Day, Secretaries Day, Principal's Day, etc. Paraprofessional Day comes and goes at my school every year with nothing mentioned to us. Paraprofessionals in my department (Sped) wear many hats on certain days and work extremely hard (mentally/physical)! Does anyone else get this treatment?

Litigators—how many different cases are you on?

Been feeling spread too thin lately but I don’t know whats typical. Curious what others do. And would you mind sharing whether you’re a junior, midlevel, partner, etc??

I realize sheer number of cases doesn’t tell the whole story… obviously you can be buried on one massive case. I’m finding it hard to jump back and forth between everything I have going on right now, though, but I don’t know if the answer is to just deal with it.

Let's do it

I finally put my Snowflake on a leather strap. I'm smitten and felt the need to share with folks who would appreciate!

I always intended to wear with a leather strap but it took me far too long to get one. Although I did like the bracelet a lot more than I thought I would. The bracelet seems to be a constant knock on GS but I didn't find anything wrong with it. At least this model.

Good thing, bad thing, or just a thing that happens? Anyone have some insight?

Hello folks, I’m after some advice please. I recently bought a couple of indoor plants and added to the cart what I think is a very expensive bottle of natural mist to use on the leaves. All organic, glass bottle etc. supposed to use it 2-3 times per week but 2 weeks in I’m down to half a bottle and it was £15 (approx $20). I understand that I need to nurture the plants but it strikes me as a rather expensive mist. Is there anything you’d recommend I can use instead? Thanks.

What house plants are NOT toxic to cats? I swear every time I go to buy a new plant and look it up it says “toxic to pets”. I have a dumb cane which I know is toxic but didn’t realize when I bought it so now I just keep it in the laundry room away from my cat when I’m at work but that means no daytime sunlight. Would like suggestions on which plants I can buy that are safe to leave alone with my cat 😸
