If you want to hold yourself out as a CPA while working in Florida, then yes. It could also depend on your firm’s requirements. Mine requires us to be licensed in the state of the office we’re mapped to.
Are you already licensed and do you work for a private firm? If so, they likely want you to be licensed to practice in the state you’re working from. If that’s how Florida, you probably need a Florida license.
At EY, the answer is Yes. You need to be licensed in the state in which you work. EY reimburses us for the cost to maintain multiple licenses, if we have them, rather than letting our cpa license lapse in a state where we were previously active. You should check with a partner or equivalent at your firm. If they don’t know then they should be able to refer you to the correct person to ask.

Years ago Florida CPAs were very protective of their turf and it was quite difficult for a CPA not originally licensed in Florida to get licensed there. This may have changed but check the rules. I once moved to a different state (not Florida) and just assumed it was easy. I had to threaten litigation as they initially refused to license me because their exam sequence rules were different from my original state.
Get licensed in the state you live and work. Some states will even require it if you travel to a states to work frequently. Doesn’t matter if you are doing tax or audit or working at a CPA firm or not. It comes down to you presenting yourself as a CPA. This should also be done before you move and not after.
Yes
Is it the state you live in or the office you work for. I’m in one state and the office I work for is in another.
Yeah I live in Florida but assigned to the Dallas office
