Do "LinkedIn Influencers" get paid for their content? Or they just do it for clouts?

They do get paid through advertising and sponsorships with brand deals, but they are also highly motivated to post due to their insatiable thirst for attention because like any other influencer, they seek validation through “likes” and supportive comments.

They are no different from the influencers you see on TikTok or Instagram, except they put themselves even higher on a pedestal due to them being an influencer of the career-based / business professional type. Most of the LinkedIn influencers I come across have their heads so far up their ass, they could probably 💩 out of their mouth.

Take my like to serve your insatiable appetite.

Some people (me!) just want to post for enough visibility to catch recruiters’ or hiring managers’ attention for better job opportunities.

likesmarthelpful

Same.

Many of them do it because they have an existing paid service to offer- consulting services, or some online course, or a coaching/training service, etc.

Many others do it because they want to get their audience levels up to a certain point so that they can start offering paid services.

Learn to detach your emotions from these encounters. Every commercial entity has their own preferred ways of marketing their offerings. Some do it through B2C advertising, some do email campaigns, calling, retail signage, billboards, newspaper ads, whatever. LinkedIn posts as just one method.

(No, I am not a LinkedIn influencer, never was, never will be.)

They just do it in hopes of being featured as Cringe.

I woke up today tired.

My work cell was buzzing and then I remembered something.

I forgot to thank the bus driver that dropped me off a few days ago.

I got up and rushed downstairs to find the bus driver.

It was raining outside but I was already running barefoot to the bus stop.

I stood there soaked in my pajamas as the bus approached.

Then, the door opened. The driver got up and shook my hand.

I sat down and started my shift.

I’m the bus driver. Reminder to love and thank yourself.

on the way to an interview this morning eating a sandwich. I walked past a homeless man who had a stray cat perched on his lap. He asked for a bite of sandwich to feed them both as they hadn’t eaten in days. I gave the whole sandwich over and headed off to the interview. As I got to the interview room there was a large executive chair facing away from me. The chair turned and on top was a mirror. When looking in the mirror I could see the cat. I am the cat. Truly inspirational when you work hard
