Depends on where in Europe, I have seen people been payed 22K a year at law firms in Madrid and their rent is 1K or more a month and thats without utilities. I have seen people been payed 22K a year in a law firm in a small town and their rent is just 400 euros a month with utilities. One of them is saving and the other is living day by day.
European consultant in London here.
The answer is yes. My salary hasn’t been adjusted for inflation since 15 years ago, I pay top bracket tax, and my rent eats up a big part of my income.
Not at all, I can put almost 45% of my salary to savings every month. Make 150k and based in Amsterdam
Hi PVH, how much taxes are you paying with that salary?
Very broad question. Big4 pays notoriously low entry level positions. However, if your rent is relatively reasonable and you control your spending, you can save some three digit number each month.
T1 and T2 is a different ballpark, allowing you a leas restricted lifestyle with more money yet less time to spend.
In germany it is feasible, can save approx 30-40% of net salary, living in frankfurt
i am in italy, and absolutely yes.
Italian salaries are some of the worst in Europe, unfortunately...
Sure we do too!
