Do you ever feel guilty for not loving your job? I get told all the time that I should be grateful to have stability or good benefits, but I still leave work exhausted, underpaid, and deeply unfulfilled. I can be thankful and still want more, right? It’s like dissatisfaction is treated as some kind of personal flaw. Why is it so taboo to admit that you hate your job even if it looks good on paper?

I'm SVP/strategy for a PR agency. I moved into PR, Healthcare, and Strategic Planning only 3 years ago. An agency recruiter is trying to convince me to move into a GSVP account role, assuring me "at that level it's all strategy." (I dont think she understands the words she's using. Or that I'm qualified). But long-term, knowing account roles are so much more plentiful than brand planning in PR, I'm wondering if I should start thinking about account. Working on a divorce where the father is claiming that he is unemployed because of the previous administration’s actions with DACA (he was brought to the States as a child). I know that the memo rescinding DACA was ultimately vacated—but OC is unsure whether this would count as voluntary unemployment for child support purposes. I believe it does as the application period to renew DACA benefits was reopened in 2020. Thoughts?
