Do you think employers post jobs that don’t exist to have a pool of names to call for a “working interview” when it really is just them needing a temp?

hiya fishes. happy friday! sorry if this isnt the right bowl, but this is in regards to vacation time. i have an interview process starting next week, and wondering when it would be good to mention i would be OOO between the middle of the month in september? its for a week. im unsure if i can twist this to have a start date once im back. going back and forth on being transparent vs. mentioning it later on. thoughts?

Attended client interview in Capgemini last week and it was all about the previous experience related. When will i get feedback from Capgemini.

I gave 5 rounds in Kyndryl. Received email to fill form for background check which includes current org offer letter and pay slips. There was no discussion for salary and compensation.
When called HR.. both HRs are not receiving calls, neither responding emails.

Do large law firms really recieve enough applications for a position that they cannot follow up when someone reaches out to check on thier application? I get that if you have to reach out, they probably weren't interested anyways, I'm just curious why there is a practice of just leaving applicants in the wind. I have been working in Austin/cedar park/ round rock as a dental assistant for two years. I’ve just been promoted to office manager at a small private practice. What would be an appropriate hourly wage? Currently no benefits are offered, but may be in the future.

I've been a dental assistant for 11 years , and I think I'm done . I feel the pay is never enough and 9/10 we do the most work in the office . It's never commensurate to what we do and no matter how much experience you have your still 3-5$ more than someone fresh out of school . It's a skill I'm glad to know that I can always find work but the burnout for nothing isn't worth it. Can anyone relate

As my career progressed as a RDA, I moved to the front office and eventually management. I even taught dental assistants and became the Program Director of a DA program. COVID opened up remote work for me, I manage eclaims, claims corrections and billing for two offices. $20 per hour, no bonuses or incentives, I know I am not getting paid enough! I want to go back to work in the dental field. I was an assistant for 10+ years. I miss helping people smile. But trying to find work that I can do within school hours is so hard! Has anyone found anything that is legit work from home? Either remote treatment plan presenting or helping with scheduling? I really need something from home because my husband travels so much. I’m located outside of Chicago if that helps.

Why are people always surprised when we're closed for holidays? There are emergencies but being rude because we won't book a 9am cleaning on Thanksgiving is incredible
