I recently got a verbal offer from KPMG strategy. Is that more prestigious than like, most other firms? Like, I know MBB is done with recruiting; I feel like below MBB for name recognition is the Big 4 and other firms aren’t as reputable. I’m trying to decide whether or not I should interview and apply to other firms or just take this one (assuming a written offer ever comes along). Also, I prioritize work culture and exit opportunities over salary, but don’t want to be paid below poverty line.
Hi. I'm a final year btech student, and I recently got an offer from PwC India for the post of Sr. Analyst, with the package of 4.5lpa fixed + some yearly performance bonus. How should I expect me to be my career graph in pwc? Promotions, work culture, work life balance, basically any kind of insight will be appreciated.
THANKS A TON, IN ADVANCE.
Mindtree culture is detoriating day by day . No clarity on hike and appraisal even though mail have been sent regarding this since Dec 2021 . Disgusting HR head practice who joined from CTS . How come they don't abide by what they communicate and keep silence without any update for delay .
Shameful . Feeling Disappointed. Has joined this company 11 months back with hopes for longer and fruitful association but will resign soon . Pathetic company Mindtree

I like calm and supportive ones because they are better to handle and to engage with. My team works best in a stress-free environment.

Absolutely agree. I don’t work well under pressure, and it baffles me how some managers still hold onto that outdated mindset and expect top performance from people in such conditions.
I have never once had a good experience with a manager who used firm, intimidating tactics rather than kindness and understanding. Having a good manager who remembers that you're human makes all the difference in the world.

Exactly, I couldn’t agree with you more.
Totally agree—it’s not one-size-fits-all. I’ve seen people shut down under pressure while others somehow thrive in it. For me, supportive managers bring out the best. I’m more open, motivated, and actually want to do well—not just avoid messing up.

You’re right. Everyone has their own way of working. I’ve never done well under pressure myself; it just brings down my confidence.

I can handle either of them, I can also be either of them. Learning my employees help me to decipher which type of leader I need to be at the moment

Stress is not sustainable. Sure, the intimidating manager might get better short-term results, but everyone will burn out sooner, and EVERY one of them will leave before they otherwise would have.
