Busy season continues

Could anyone kindly tell me about the Investment Management and Private Equity Audit Group at Deloitte? 1. Work Life Balance (Is it worst than the ordinary Big 4 WLB?) 2. Is it an entirely different audit from commercial/retail audits (think account balances etc.) 3. Difficult to learn how to audit clients in this industry without prior experience in the industry?(been doing commercial audits for 3 years) 4. Are there relatively good exit opportunities for this audit group? Deloitte PwC EY

Hi there - I currently work at Citi now as an auditor. Just know Citi is under pressure right now to be in compliance with the consent order- this is drastically impacting audit too. I’m not a fan of how audit operates - but I’m in a different IA group. Is your audit group going to be BAU or Transformation?
But CITI benefits are great, we go in three days a week, and the office in NYC is nice at least.
I am an AVP at Citi and we have great hours and benefits within my 1LOD testing group. I've heard bad stories about the actual Internal Audit department so try looking at 1LOD. We have positions on my team I believe
What level are you at for both?
VP is the lowest of the high levels (officer levels) at MS. They don’t have more PTO. People only get more PTO based on years of service at Ms. But I think if you’re MD or ED you get more vacation days.
The other benefit of VP at Ms is it’s more coveted at this firm than other banks I’ve worked at. They literally dangle this “officer” title in front of you and make it very difficult for people to get promoted. A select few make it through. MS has a ton of smart and amazing people though.
For context you can be a Vp after 5 years at other banks. It’s not the case here…you have people with more than 10 years experience and are not VP.
You should fight for VP at MS. I entered as a senior manager and am basically still a senior manager after 4 years. I was rated exceeds every single year so it’s not performance. So obviously im very bitter and it’s happened to basically my whole network in my org.
I think title of Vp is pretty important to get other lucrative offers in the future but if you are very confident about MS’ promotion process and your skills then by all means go to MS.
Associate/Senior manager is a silly AVP title.
But MS is an amazing firm…i think it’s better than citi but im going to leave Ms for citi given better title and pay.
