Hi fellow fishies!
Can someone please explain what is “SUPPLEMENTARY allowance” in my payslip??? It is the highest in my entire payslip, more than basic salary. Basic is lets say ₹7 lac annually and supplementary bonus is ₹7 lac 40 thousand.
Can someone please explain why this exists in my paylslip, is it good or bad from tax perspective and shall I ask my HR to decrease it???
Please help asap.

A friend once gave me the following wisdom - if you die before you retire, your job vacancy will be posted the day before your obituary. The point here is that this is a job. Keep your friends out of it. If they are truly your friends, they will understand and with jealousy wish you well. And having a doctor or disability note to “retire” will likely work around any problems with the timing.)
Don’t stay for friends. Look at your contract so you know what to do next if you actually decide not to go back.
Check your contract! And they aren’t your FRIENDS; they are co-workers!!! And having been left in a tight spot MANY TIMES, they will get over it!!! TRUST!!!! They will understand!
Is your plan to leave this school, or to leave education completely?
Either way, it's been my experience that I am far more successful, and happy, when I am running *to* something rather than running *away* from something.
So what do you want to do instead? Spend some energy figuring that out. Even if you're not immediately sure, or can't achieve it right away, the envisioning, researching, planning, and working towards it can make today's situation less stressful.
What is causing you to come to this decision? Is any of it within your control? Do you think that if your colleagues were in the same situation that they would take you into consideration in making the same decision? Do you have anything else as a potential position at this time, or are you choosing to jump ship without any life raft available? If so, are you jumping off into shark infested waters, or are you financially viable without your current position? I know, because I am part of the Unemployed Bowl, that finding a job is getting harder, not simpler, so if you don't have something lined up and need a job, you may want to think before you let panic cause you to make the wrong choice. What do you teach and what would you rather do?
Not at all. Do what best for yourself, not people. I wish you the best.
I'm in the same position but I also know that as soon as you decide to leave, they'll fill your position asap. So no guilt there. Do you!
Do what is best for you. If you are feeling dread it is a clear sign to move on to something new. Keep in mind the job market in America is trash right now and everyone is on a hiring freeze or they are down sizing, so be ready.
You have to do what is right for you …. Honor your heart
I love this! 💖
I feel ya I do. But not gonna look good if you break. Contract.
Make sure to check your contract. Mine specified that I needed to give 60 day notice. If I didn’t, they could potentially come after my certification. To avoid this I had to give a valid reason why I needed to leave before the 60 days and needed board approval as well. Good luck!
That’s tough. If you quit when it’s this close to the school year starting your employer can report you to the state board of education & your teaching license may be in jeopardy. If you’re leaving education altogether then that probably isn’t much of a concern for you. My advice is to do what’s in the best interest of your health and mental wellbeing.
Go to the doctor and get some help!!! You will feel much better if you have help from professionals to help you navigate through this situation. I DID❤️🙏❤️
