Do you think the Federal Reserve should lower interest rates before September? Do you think they will? I personally think it's clearly what the market and what people need, but since that rarely has anything to do with the decisions people make I don't have high hopes.

I don't think they should. September isn't that long. Let things even out on their own, or if it looks worse by September handle it then.

If they lower before Sept, it’ll signal panic. Wait until Sept. it’s…next month.

No but they probably will

Following up on a similar post about NYC, for those in SF - salary and what do you pay in rent?

Qualified Dividends: I’m expecting $650-$750 qualified dividend in 2021. Salary and base about $250 total. Questions: what tax rate will the qualified dividend be taxed at? The 15% or 20%? Also, since it’s technically a long term gain, do I have to pay an state and local on the income? Been reading for a bit and I can’t seem to find a clear answer. Thanks fishies!

I recently joined citi. I have been given choice for to select superannuation as 13% of BS or 12500/- monthly or zero.

This is one time selection and not reversible.

I am already investing 1.5 lakh in 80C through SIP and EPF.

I need more detail about superannuation and is it beneficial or not?

Also is there any retirement age in IT field 🤔 (or in citi)?

Are you a “Prodigious Accumulator of Wealth”?

N = 10% x (Your Age) x (Your Salary)

If your net worth is 0.5N or less then you are an under accumulator; around 1.0N then you average; 2.0N or greater then you are prodigious.

This is the millionaire next door formula.

Do Leidos, SAIC, and other mostly-fed consulting businesses pay bonuses to all levels? If so, what does a typical bonus target look like? Booz Allen does not pay bonuses until you get to the Senior Associate level (1 step below Director) and I think that impacts employee performance and work ethic pretty dramatically. I’m wondering if not paying bonuses is common to federal contracting because of how the contracts or priced, or if this is something unique to Booz Allen.
