Deport, remove Quebec from the confederation, get our economy going due to our resources (pipelines, shipping, etc.) and scrap most environmental regulations for 3 years while lowering corporate taxes and we may be going in the right direction.
It is not a sustainable solution but it will get stagnated economy going again. And then we can revisit social transfers again.

Lol, remove quebec and Canada is dead.
Canada could be fixed if older generations of Canadians actually cared about their children, grandchildren, and the future of the Canadian nation. Unfortunately, most seem more concerned with inflating home values, virtue signaling, and pushing extreme climate agendas
Bingo
It is possible but according to the polls we are happy with the status quo.

Yeah its nuts....
I remain optimistic that leveraging our natural resources can get us back on track, if we can fix our housing situation.
I have proof that its not...
Not a single brand of cereal at loblaws is Canadian...lol
We are umbilically connected to the US, so I think Canada should, at least, stop posturing or we should start putting our money where our mouths are and fully open our energy resources to the global market...
But then again, the majority are happy with their incessant and unexplicable addicition to the status quo
Nope
Old people (50+) make up such a large proportion of the voting bracket, the issues that matter like housing are neglected.
On top of this, social transfers like OAS are unsustainable given our working age population is decreasing and people are living longer. Rather than addressing the issue, we’ve just printed more and more debt the past 10 years.
Without significant reform, the tax burden on younger generations and the cost of housing is only going to increase.
Am I sensing a bitterness due to the exit polls?

Not bitterness....pure disbelief of virtue-preaching liberal idiocy
