Does anyone do Rover for a little extra cash? Would you recommend or advise against it?

We’ve done it before. I just recommend doing your due diligence. Let’s just say everyone thinks their dog is an angel.

YES 10/10 recommend if you work remote. Easiest side hustle, plus you get paid for puppy love!

like

My friend does it. She says it’s fine.

EY requires you disclose any work outside of our firm. You need permission for any side hustle. It may get approved but you should disclose it. No matter your rank or role.

likefunny

Most firms require this.

Love rover! Do some dog walking and boarding as well. Highly recommend if you like dogs! Make sure to do a meet and greet if you have dogs to avoid and potential dog issues during boarding

like

I’ve done it and stopped last year because it’s actually a lot of work to watch a dog. Rarely do you get a dog that is so well behaved you don’t need to worry about anything. Just make sure you dog proof your living space and put away/protect anything you don’t want getting chewed up or pottied on.

like

My wife does it. Gets us like an extra $200 a week. Plus she likes dogs. It’s a win win.

like

There’s got to be a better side hustle than rover

like

My gf does it. We were going to get a dog but decided to wait until we were further along in our careers and get paid to watch other peoples’ dogs instead. Pretty chill. Boarding is worth it. House sitting or drop ins are usually much more of a PITA and not so much worth it.

I'm reading this book on boundaries. In the work section it says I should tell my boss that I can't work after 5 PM. Knowing that advertising work commonly goes past 5 PM...would my job be in danger if I said that?
There's not really a rule book that says I must work until the work is done even though it's an unsaid expectation. Thoughts?
