I make about 1.2M, my wife makes about 700k. I’m a tenured MD (L2), and my wife is a VP at a large pharma. These numbers are total comp (base, bonus, and stock - for both of us). It varies based on bonus amounts and stock price, but it’s directionally correct.
Plenty of consulting partners make this amount
All consulting Partners easily cross this by multiples
Yes, tech legal team but took several years to get past $500k and very stock-price dependent
It’s like any career with an advanced degree. I chose government first and obviously that doesn’t pay well but the goal was to become a subject matter expert in my area and become marketable to the private sector
I’m not there yet, but but I’m on that path and i’m in product management
MBA background
strategy consulting at one of the big firms
and then went into big tech
SDs at A&M can clear this quite easily. I will.
The quickest way is high income marriage. Fast path to 1M+ household income
Not worth it. Find a way to earn it yourself.
Been there for a few years. M&A consultant with deep experience (15 yrs, 200+ deals )
Yes. IB
Been above that for cash comp for several years. Key for me was high variable comp (30-45%). Have a lot of experience in IT and M&A with 3 advanced degrees so have been in demand most of my career. Blessed to also have a spouse in similar space so we’ve been doing very well.
What type of work do you do? Most m&a tech integration? Partner level?
