Does anyone have any experience starting in the Army, Navy or Air Force Reserves while working in consulting? I’ve been considering it for several years and have an opportunity to start but curious about any feedback regarding how the Big 4 handle time off for basic training and the 2-week training every year. I impulsively spent $400 on concert tickets before I left my last job. Now I’m entering my third month at a new job and I’m worried it’s too early to take off to go. At the very least I would have to sign off an hour or two early to be able to make it on time. But I feel awkward asking because generally I wouldn’t take off this early. For context, I have unlimited PTO.
