Does anyone have benchmarks for dad taxes? I suggested ~20% for Annie’s Mac n cheese cups, but I’m getting pushback from mid-level stakeholders (kids) and now ELT (wife) is starting to question accuracy and wants sources.

Add an ELT share to the taxes. Bring them to your side

20%!!! You are a magnanimous ruler. I abide by the 50% rule.

My rule is if I pick up Chik-fil-a I’m taxing one waffle fry per order on the drive home.

If the tax doesn't work any more, just go with "You get what you get, and you don't throw a fit."

First, let’s remember that it is an enlightened dictatorship, not a democracy. The real question is more how much do you give to stakeholders. They are the ones getting something for free. They have not earned it.

Second, you should add also a service charge, room and board tax, healthcare tax, tuition tax. Show them your own pay stub.
Overall, the POOMA institute says this can be up to 50pct depending on the food item (especially chocolate, gummy bears and girl scout cookies) Similar to top federal + high tax states. Shared with ELT, of course.

A Mac n Cheese cup doesn’t hit the threshold for taxation. It’s too small.

Our appraisal came through exactly as the offer price we put. Apparently by lenders 3rd party. Isnt that a bit fishy? If it came in lower our contract has the option to negotiate a bit with seller. Is lender just trying to push this along faster? I'm pretty sure in this crazy market the home is not valued at what we offered. Why would seller put a much lower asking price then? Make no sense. Please advise!

I work as a Business Development Manager at a sports club.. I’ve been given a couple of months “trial” in the 6 figure and above sales in which I don’t see going back to my other role on lower sales. This was a somewhat good move for me until I consider missing out on commission each month that was more than my salary. (£25k salary, over £2k per month commission)
How do I go about raising this concern? I believe I should be paid more now and at least change my job title?

I understand that many individuals use this strategy but I think investing in index funds for the long haul is better from a wealth accumulation perspective, without even factoring in tax implications of 401k
