Does anyone have tips on applying to companies for PM roles? I’m finding that just dropping a resume isn’t working so well and actually getting a referral has better results. Would it be better to make connections on LinkedIn? If anyone has done this, was it easy to find/make connections/people were receptive?

I found a company I was really excited about working at. I applied for the job and went through 5 rounds of interviews. At the end they said I was OVER qualified and they want me for a different position higher up in the company. I was super excited they then had me go through 5 more rounds, 3/5 people were the same. The interviews mostly went "didn't you get the job, I highly recommend you? I'll just put you down as a 10". After those were done they told me I was UNDER qualified. Can't win!

In probation period which will end in December, manager level, onboarded as PM role, got applause from a partner and director for bd works, obtained 3 badges and did 4 projects internally. Will that be enough to pass the probation?

I just got an offer from a company that I have mixed feelings about. Team seems great but Glassdoor reviews, not so much. I’m currently interviewing with a couple of other companies that are amazing and would be my too choices. My experience is split between FP&A and accounting and while I have progressed, I am becoming depressed b/c I feel like I’m in the wrong field. I am generally a motivated, high performing person, but I al starting to slip up and care less, b/c my work is not satisfying to me.
