This should help: https://lmgtfy.com/?q=sign+out+outlook+desktop
I'm not understanding why OP would want to sign out of Outlook... Just don't open the application? As condescending as C1 was, they're right. You can add or remove accounts but I don't think you can just sign out. You could also just kill the wireless antennas on your computer
Why the hell would you want to do this? What are you really trying to do, that is the question.
go offline?
Or just bing it
LoL
Let's take a step back and look at the bigger picture, op
I appreciate the answers about "Killing the wireless, closing the application, going offline" but that won't help in this case!
File > account settings > add or remove accounts > X remove. Not sure if you can add back easily but that will do it.
Tried what A1 said and it seems to have worked. Email account is removed and the outlook is all blank now! Phew!

Lol @C1, I feel sorry for your team members since they have to deal with such a condescending colleague. Pretty sure you don't know the answer to this.
@D1 thanks but offline doesn't work. Need to sign out.
You are asking a question that reflects a lack of understanding of the point of outlook. You can't sign out, all data is stored locally hence the integration of your login with your company credentials. You can add another profile/delete a profile/switch to another account by going to file-> account settings, but that's probably not what you are trying to do.
I'm condescending because I think you're silly for posting this simple IT question in a forum of consultants. Ask the IT support group, or your local IT repair kid for help.
Hope I added value.
Hey if you are trying not to receive emails change send receive settings.
@a1 Hahaha you ain't right. I starting to recognize @c1 by his smart ass comments.
Ok here's the thing nobody's getting and I'm sorry if it wasn't clear. I logged into my account on someone else's laptop (a new one), into the desktop app and not through the web (my mistake). Now I need to return it but I have to get rid of my email account on their laptop so that they don't get/read my emails. Hope this is clear. I tried removing my account through the account settings and it shows "you need to specify a new location to store your emails, calendar, groups, etc." before removing your account.
I guess I'll have to wait for IT help after the holidays. Merry Christmas!
A1 that is what I did and it shows you need to specify a new location for your data before removing.
Your account should not exist if your friend is using the laptop
C1 that is exactly what I am wondering and nervous about.
