Last week at an office meeting the office manager, in front of everyone, without my knowledge beforehand, announced that I was the only person in the office eligible for a senior position. I was shocked and responded in that way. I have to apply for the position and after some thought I decided I didn’t want to do it. They aren’t offering an increase in base pay and giving me the responsibility of management without the title. Yesterday, I received a PIP is this retaliation?

Hello Fishes, I have started my role of an Internal communications executive after 12 years of sabbatical, due to marital and parenting period. Looking to enhance my skills for growth and better efficiency. Could anyone please suggest what kind of skill enhancement course would be beneficial for me?
Also, what is the current salary slab for this role, because I joined in a very low package, being eager to get back to the role. So grabbed whatever opportunity I got without doing much research.

Any one aware of the laptop purchasing policy at kgs. Where we can purchase a laptop for max 1 lac and kgs will pay the entire amount to us provided bill is in its name and kgs will deduct the same amount from our salary in 36 installments.

So I was offered a role in Strategy Consulting in after 2 years in Risk Consulting however, after 2 years I’ve only worked on Internal audit engagements few ad hocs such as updating risk register and the delegation of authority matrix.

Honestly speaking I am doing good and I am up for promotion in October however I am not fully enjoying my time but I fear that the move would not be a good and I can’t hit the ground running which scares me.

Currently a first year staff in Risk Advisory in a Mid-Tier Firm hoping to move to Big 4 for either Risk or Cyber. When would be the most appropriate time to make the change? I heard that Senior Staff in mid-tier would most likely be hired as an “Experienced Hire” in Big 4. So would it be smarter to make the move now as a first year staff since I’ll be considered Experienced Hire anyway?
