Does MBB look at the GMAT same as GRE during recruiting?

Two MBB firms reached out to me this week about manager-level roles in generalist consulting, and a few posts mention a need for M (PL/EM/SM) roles too. Is there a sudden need for M level staff that can't be met with internal promotes? Why? Sure, fast growth, but are all the high performing future promotes leaving? Managers leaving? What else may be happening?

HBS vs. Wharton vs. CBS vs. Berkeley if recruiting for UMM PE without prior IB or MBB experience (but some M&A related experience)? No $$$ anywhere smh.

@MBB 🐠, what brought you to work there besides the $? I hear so many ppl say that’s where they want to go after MBA but never give a reason why besides getting paid well. I know that’s a fair response but i would like to hear if there are other contributing factors. Thanks.

For people just out of undergrad, is non mbb consulting worth it? Like is it still better than most non technical corporate jobs you can get out of undergrad? Or it is basically like a corporate business analyst?

Starting as ASC/C at MBB soon and have zero clothes to wear in-office/client (coming from advanced degree where I wear shorts 24/7). I'm wide AF (5'9 220) from lifting and built like a rectangle.
If you had to rebuild your entire business casual wardrobe from scratch for a non-slim build, where would you go? MTM or off the rack + tailor (in house or external)? Tried some charles tyrwhitt shirts but I'm all over their size chart so they would take a ton of work to fix.

Considering a move from MBB to HF investing post PhD. I find the prospect of investing in public markets interesting but am concerned that I might limit my future exit opportunities if HF investing doesn’t really work out for me. One of the reasons I liked consulting was the optionality that it offered in terms of future exits. Am I limiting myself by making this move?
