Hello!
I finished my final round(s) for a TAM position at Google (GCP) last week and was told by my recruiter that my feedback was great and that I made a solid impression on the team and am "firmly in the running". I was supposed to hear back this week (according to the recruiter) but he just told me that it's still in the process and that I'll have to wait for another week or so.
Is this common at Google ? I have heard they are notorious for being really slow with their hiring process.
Only here to say congratulations and great job making the sacrifice and pushing through!
BSME typically start between $75-90k depending on COL and experience.
You likely would do better applying elsewhere to get maximal wage growth as companies rarely give huge raises for a piece of paper like described, waxing about the opportunity they gave you.
Seeing as you have 4 YoE, with the degree, you may be able to get $90-120k, depending on the type of engineering you would be moving to do.
I’m confused because if you go full time, does that mean that you won’t be able to work while you’re in school? That seems contrary to any educational reimbursement benefit (ie you have to be an employee of this company).
I see! Good for you!
